Notice regarding La Farge High School Class of 2020 Graduation Activities This spring has been difficult for everyone, but especially and exceptionally so for our seniors who have had to miss out on so much, and for their families and extended community who have looked forward to celebrating their accomplishments. Due to the statewide order, we are unable to hold a timely traditional graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020. At this time LFS’ Graduation is postponed to Friday, July 31. Check our website and social media for updates as the date approaches. Our community is encouraged to acknowledge and support our class of 2020 by purchasing a yard sign, making a donation towards or visiting the light pole banners featuring seniors that will be hung downtown this week, or decorating your own home, yard, or business with our school colors of purple and white. At 6pm on the evening of May 22 La Farge Schools will light the ball field and scoreboard with “2020.” The lights will stay on for 20 minutes and 20 seconds in recognition of the LFS Class of 2020. #EveryStudentEveryDay #Classof2020 #PurplePride #StaySafeWildcatNation

To: La Farge School District Community Re: Survey Reminder These are certainly unprecedented times in our country as we react and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. We, like you, continue to watch the daily updates and recommendations coming from our health and government officials. Please stay safe. In addition to responding to the current crisis, you are likely aware that we are facing some significant challenges regarding our facility. An investment will be needed in the near future to update aging building systems. In addition, the District has identified a number of potential projects to improve student learning. While we are undoubtedly in a time of uncertainty, we do know that our school always has, and will continue to, play a critical role in our community. Therefore, we need to develop a long-term facility plan to address these needs. Because these decisions will impact our community for decades, the Board of Education is committed to finalizing a plan that reflects the priorities of our community members and taxpayers. Therefore, we are asking you to please take a few minutes to respond to this survey. A paper version of the survey was mailed to every household in the District, and for your convenience, we have also provided a link to take the survey online. Encourage another adult (eligible to vote) in your home to take the mailed survey. 1. Go to the website: http://www.Feedback2000.com 2. Enter the access code on your paper survey 3. Complete your survey! To collect this feedback, we are working with School Perceptions LLC, an independent firm with expertise in conducting community surveys. All survey data is returned to School Perceptions to ensure respondent anonymity. To obtain additional surveys for other adults in your household, please call the District Office at 608-625-2400. Survey results will be presented at a School Board meeting this summer, and will also be available on the District website at www.lafarge.k12.wi.us. Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey and provide valuable feedback. #Every Student Every Day Sincerely, Meaghan Gustafson Superintendent Holly Franks Aaron Nemec Curt Parr Chad Wirts Dr. Shawn Sedgwick La Farge Board of Education

Help show the Class of 2020 that the community of La Farge supports them! Because we cannot hold a traditional graduation ceremony on May 22, La Farge Schools is planning alternate ways to recognize the seniors. You may have already purchased a yard sign (thank you!)... now we are hoping to spread the recognition all the way down Main Street! Banners recognizing each senior will be displayed on the light poles downtown. However, we are looking for assistance in purchasing them. Donations may be sent to the school with the memo "Senior Banners." Those who donate will be recognized in a notice published locally. If you would prefer to remain anonymous, please note this with your donation. Any additional money collected will be used to support additional graduation activities for the class of 2020. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Lund at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would still like a yard sign, please contact Patty Gabrielson at the school (608-625-2400). There are still some available! Thank you! Amy Lund, Senior Class Advisor The image is generic; ours will be in LF colors and with our logo on them.

On Friday, April 10th, the lights at the LFS ball field will be turned on from 8:00-8:20pm to honor our seniors from the Class of 2020 and let them know they are remembered and not forgotten. The lights will go off at 8:20, which is 20:20 military time. We will leave the lights on for 20 minutes, and 20 seconds in recognition of our 2020 seniors. Please know that though we certainly wish we could, this is not an invitation to gather at the field as we can not support any gathering of large groups of people during this time. Many people may wish to drive by the fields and see the lights, however! #Classof2020 #EveryStudentEveryDay #BeTheLightWI

Starting tomorrow, we are offering comprehensive services to 4K - 12 students through a variety of online, phone-based, and individualized platforms.
