Fridays have been filled with events for students the past few weeks and yesterday was no different! We had BINGO throughout the day and a new and growing event as well. Welcome to Phone Free Friday! Students are given the option to give up their phone for the day and have their names entered to win prizes! We encourage a social environment here and want students to be in the present. Check out this bin of phones!

Congratulations to these La Farge athletes for their honors in the Ridge & Valley!

We had a beautiful Veteran's Day program yesterday, with many local veterans in attendance, performances by our students and a wonderful sideshow honoring those who have served.
Attached is the link to the slideshow. https://youtu.be/Pm6nGSPunEw?si=dPIyOwmSXeC1dcES
If you know a La Farge veteran that is not acknowledged in the slideshow please reach out with a name, years of service and picture if possible and we'd be happy to add them!

Book Walk in the La Farge Elementary School Library
What is a Book Walk?
A Book Walk is a fun and interactive way for children to explore new books and stories. Similar to a cake walk, children and parents will move around the library, stopping at different stations to read pages from a popular childrens’ story. It's a great opportunity to encourage your child to have fun reading!
Event Details:
- Date: Nov 6, 2024
- Time: 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Location: La Farge Elementary School Library
As an extra special treat, each participant will receive a delicious sweet treat for taking part in the Book Walk. It's our way of saying thank you for engaging with literacy and supporting our school library.

“Pajamas and Pumpkins” was the theme in the 4K and Kindergarten classroom! We wore our comfy clothes, painted pumpkins, and made pumpkin crowns!

La Farge High School students enjoyed a day of Ro-Sham-Bo on the last day of the quarter. Beaded necklaces were handed out upon arrival to school and students challenged one another to good old fashioned rock paper scissors between classes, with the winner earning the other's beads. At the end of the day it was winner takes all! A goodie basket and gift card were awarded to the champion, whom was a gracious enough to share their winnings.

On October 25th, all LHS students spent the afternoon serving our community. Kids could be found working on school grounds, at the La Farge Community Childcare Center, Village Park, La Farge Fire Station, Lawton Library, VMH-La Farge Clinic and Kickapoo Valley Reserve. It was a great day to be a Wildcat!

Congratulations to Hoyt and Clara for representing La Farge at the 5th Grade Performing Arts Fair in Hillsboro yesterday. They both did a great job!

Congratulations to these students who were recognized at our PBIS assembly! The teachers chose students from each class who have done a nice job of using their skills for learning - listening, focusing attention, using positive self-talk, and being assertive.
