Despite being cut short, the Senior Art Club members were able to enjoy their time and some art in Eau Claire today. They visited Banbury Place with many artist studios located inside including a pottery studio, painting studio, sticker and custom shirts and signs and many others. They enjoyed sculptures downtown and a fun place to eat and enjoy some classic entertainment. The day ended with ice cream of course and one of the many beautiful murals painted downtown.

Last week 5 middle school students traveled to DeSoto for the annual Visual Art Fest. Here they experienced three different stations of art making and learned about All Glazed Up in La Crosse and what it takes to run a successful business.

High school art students took a trip down the road this week to the local fiber mill, Ewetopia. Here students learned the process from start to finish on how wool and other fibers are transformed from start to finish to create roving and yarn. Kathryn was a wonderful host, answering questions and informing our students. At the end of our trips she was gracious enough to donate roving to our department to create beautiful needle felted pieces! A huge thank you for the donation and experience!
