On Thursday, La Farge graduate, Abby Schreck, came back to La Farge and talked to our 8th graders about college life and career choices.
High schoolers ended the day with a friendly pickle-ball tournament, roshambo, a hot cocoa bar, movies and coloring! It was a great way to relax into our break!
Today, Cathy St. John had a special mission as Santa's helper! The 1st graders each wrote Santa a letter and Cathy was given the special task of delivering letters back from Santa as well as a little gift. Thank you for all of your help, Cathy!
The 6th, 7th, and 8th students performed holiday readers theater plays for each other. The 6th grade performed a version of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the 7th grade an adaptation of Charles Dicken's Christmas Carol, and the 8th grade presented the popular favorite Home Alone. All grades did a great job!
Today, graduates from the classes of 2023 and 2022 talked with LHS juniors and seniors about life after high school. They gave advice on a variety of topics, from making the most of high school, to picking a college and career, to experiencing life beyond La Farge. Thanks so much to Corey Camlek, Colene Grefe, McKala Huebsch, Shelby Nelson, Makayla Potter, Anahi Ramirez, Ivonne Ramirez, Nolan Reese, Sadie Schneider, Abby Schreck, and Ty Wirts for coming in! Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!

The sixth grade completed a unit reading articles about being a responsible citizen. They read about the history of money, managing money, and taking care of their environment. To make the unit more realistic, each student participated in keeping a finance sheet, having a job, and constructing a town called Tiny Hollow.

Last night, the 4K class had another Family Night. They had a mini concert where they sang two of their daily songs, their Hello song and Days of the Week song, and two Christmas songs, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Jingle Bells. With their families, they completed two crafts and had a snack. Everybody had fun and the 4K kiddos can't wait until their next Family Night.

The FAFSA is set to open on December 31st! Viterbo University is hosting a FAFSA night on January 8th for students and parents. Experts will be available to help fill out the application.
