Congratulations to all 8-12th grade musicians who participated in our Large Group Music Festival in Westby today. The 8th grade band received a 1 rating in the middle school class level of music. The high school choir received a 1 rating in class B and the high school band received a 1 rating in class A, the most difficult level of music for school bands across the state! Your hard work and dedication really paid off!🎺🎼🎷🎹🎤

The Kindergarteners have been working hard learning about plants this Spring. To celebrate their hard work, they joined fourth grade in a fun hands-on project; planting their very own plants! The kindergarteners had so much fun extending their learning and getting messy along the way. They are also practicing responsibility as they tend to their plants daily!

La Farge Musicians are preparing to head to State! The trumpet choir, clarinet choir along with soloists Hayden Fowell, Kyle Degner and Abigail Schreck are heading to Viterbo on Saturday to perform at the State Solo and Ensemble Festival.🎼🎺🎷

Today was the closing reception of this years Artistic Discovery art contest put on by Ron Kind. La Farge was well represented with 18 out of the 60 entries. Out of our entries, Grace Nemec received an honorable mention with her watercolor and ink piece. Congratulations to those that entered and represented La Farge so well. In Ron Kind's speech he spoke highly of La Farge and the talent we have. Ron Kind has always supported the arts and believes both visual and musical arts deserve high recognition for their hard work.

On Thursday April 21st, La Farge Middle School's 6th grade Battle of the Books team competed in the Mississippi Valley Gifted & Talented Network's Battle of the Books. This competition was based on comprehension questions coming from a list of 50 books that they have been reading throughout the school year. Our team consisted of Bentley Nelson, Carissa Nemec, Daisy Nemec and Madison Wojczak. The team performed marvelously, tying for 3rd place out of nine teams! #GoWildcats!
