Hey, Wildcat Nation! Just a reminder that tomorrow (12p- 6p) and Tuesday (8a-4p) are the scheduled days to drive through and drop off the school's Chromebooks, library books, instruments, text books, and other materials, as well as pick up any of your own personal materials that were left at school in your classrooms, desks, or lockers in March. All who drive through will be treated to an ice cream cone as a celebration of the end of the 2019-2020 school year!! #EveryStudentEveryDay #PurplePride

Dear La Farge Families- This year has been like no other, and is finally drawing to close. We are proud of all of our students and families for their flexibility, resiliency, and hard work during these unprecedented times! Please read on for details about how school materials can be returned and student materials can be picked up. On Monday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 2, La Farge Schools students/families are invited to drive up to the main entrance to return Chromebooks, text books, instruments, library books, or anything else that belongs to the school. At the same time, you can pick up any items that were left at school in students' desks, lockers, and coat hooks. Please keep in mind that no students or family members will be allowed into the buildings, and everyone must stay in their vehicles. A staff member will meet you outside to retrieve any materials you had at home, and will bring out any materials that your student had left at school. Chromebooks: - If you are experiencing any difficulty with your Chromebook (not charging, keys not working, mouse pad not working, any damages, etc), please write us a note about what might need to be repaired. - Remember to return the charger cable too. Instruments: - For all returning band students, instruments can be kept at home through the summer. - Seniors, students who are not participating in band in 2020-2021, and students who are not planning to return to La Farge Schools should return their instruments to school Monday, June 1 11a - 6p Tuesday, June 2 8a - 4p Please watch for a separate communication about any library books your child might have checked out. If the times listed above do not work for your family please call the office and alternative arrangements can be made!

Notice regarding La Farge High School Class of 2020 Graduation Activities This spring has been difficult for everyone, but especially and exceptionally so for our seniors who have had to miss out on so much, and for their families and extended community who have looked forward to celebrating their accomplishments. Due to the statewide order, we are unable to hold a timely traditional graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020. At this time LFS’ Graduation is postponed to Friday, July 31. Check our website and social media for updates as the date approaches. Our community is encouraged to acknowledge and support our class of 2020 by purchasing a yard sign, making a donation towards or visiting the light pole banners featuring seniors that will be hung downtown this week, or decorating your own home, yard, or business with our school colors of purple and white. At 6pm on the evening of May 22 La Farge Schools will light the ball field and scoreboard with β€œ2020.” The lights will stay on for 20 minutes and 20 seconds in recognition of the LFS Class of 2020. #EveryStudentEveryDay #Classof2020 #PurplePride #StaySafeWildcatNation

Good morning, Many have asked for clarification about how the blocked extension of the Safer at Home order impacts La Farge Schools. The Wisconsin Supreme Court's decision released yesterday evening does not apply to Section 4.a. of Emergency Order #28. What this means is that for now, school buildings and grounds continue to be closed through June 30, 2020.

To: La Farge School District Community Re: Survey Reminder These are certainly unprecedented times in our country as we react and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. We, like you, continue to watch the daily updates and recommendations coming from our health and government officials. Please stay safe. In addition to responding to the current crisis, you are likely aware that we are facing some significant challenges regarding our facility. An investment will be needed in the near future to update aging building systems. In addition, the District has identified a number of potential projects to improve student learning. While we are undoubtedly in a time of uncertainty, we do know that our school always has, and will continue to, play a critical role in our community. Therefore, we need to develop a long-term facility plan to address these needs. Because these decisions will impact our community for decades, the Board of Education is committed to finalizing a plan that reflects the priorities of our community members and taxpayers. Therefore, we are asking you to please take a few minutes to respond to this survey. A paper version of the survey was mailed to every household in the District, and for your convenience, we have also provided a link to take the survey online. Encourage another adult (eligible to vote) in your home to take the mailed survey. 1. Go to the website: http://www.Feedback2000.com 2. Enter the access code on your paper survey 3. Complete your survey! To collect this feedback, we are working with School Perceptions LLC, an independent firm with expertise in conducting community surveys. All survey data is returned to School Perceptions to ensure respondent anonymity. To obtain additional surveys for other adults in your household, please call the District Office at 608-625-2400. Survey results will be presented at a School Board meeting this summer, and will also be available on the District website at www.lafarge.k12.wi.us. Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey and provide valuable feedback. #Every Student Every Day Sincerely, Meaghan Gustafson Superintendent Holly Franks Aaron Nemec Curt Parr Chad Wirts Dr. Shawn Sedgwick La Farge Board of Education
