"Hello! My name is Alexis Wilson and I am so excited to be teaching kindergarten in La Farge this upcoming school year! I graduated this spring from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with certification in both early childhood general education as well as early childhood special education. I was born in raised in Illinois, but absolutely love the beauty of Wisconsin. I enjoy being outdoors—hiking, playing disc golf, and seeing the views. I look forward to starting the school year and growing alongside my students. I hope to inspire a love of learning in those around me and to leave a lasting impression!"

"Hi! My name is Brenna Smedema and I am so excited to be teaching first grade! I graduated from St. Norbert College this past May with a degree in Elementary Education with a certification in Early Childhood. I also earned my Spanish Language Certificate. Reading, going on bicycle rides, and walking the family dog Indy, are some of my favorite pastimes. I also have quite the collection of succulents! I look forward to meeting everyone soon!"

It is the last day of the strangest school year we've ever had!
On behalf of everyone at LFSD, I'd like to thank our students, families, and community for their support and flexibility as we've navigated a this year together. It was weird, and it was hard, but we did it!

La Farge Elementary Carnival
Tuesday, June 1st
Through generous donations from our amazing community members, La Farge Elementary students will be having an end of the year carnival. The carnival will include two bouncy houses, a dunk tank, games, prizes, face painting, sno cones, and popcorn.
Students will be taking part in the event throughout the day in different age groups:
4th and 5th Graders - 8:30 - 10 am
2nd and 3rd Graders - 10:15 - 11:45 am
4K, K, and 1st Graders - 12:30 - 2 pm
Yesterday the Library hosted a Breakfast and Book Giveaway, featuring Hansen's Bakery donuts and some books and magazines that had been removed from circulation due to age or damage. Kids and families had a great time browsing and selecting some summer reading material while enjoying a special treat. Thanks to Mrs. Buhr, Mrs. Miller, and Mrs. Wirts for a fun event! #EveryStudentEveryDay

The beat goes on....!!!! We are so excited to announce that the Middle and High School Music students will be presenting an in-person concert on Tuesday, May 25. MS students will perform at 6:00 pm and HS students will begin at 7:00 pm.
