The 3rd Grade students have been learning about call numbers in the Fiction and Everybody sections of the library. Students had the opportunity to work in groups to find books with call numbers from these sections of the library. Being able to find their own books helps students gain their independence in the library.

To further their learning they conducted an experiment focused on variables of plant growth (light, water, and nutrients). Also the fourth graders have used this knowledge to help some other classes (4K, K, and 1st) plant flowers.

The Kindergarten and Fourth Grade classes are excited to welcome this spring weather! As the Kindergarteners begin a new science unit all about plants and animals, they were able to gain some hands on experience with the topic. Now that the flowers have been planted, they will be able to observe the stages a plant goes through as it grows during the next couple weeks!
