A big thank you to students, staff, parents, family members, and the community for making the La Farge Schools Wild West Book Fair a huge success! With the help of some generous community support, we were able to make sure that all students were able to purchase one or more books. Profits will buy even more books for the library, but even more important, the fair was a means of getting students to get excited about books and reading. Thanks again for your support.

Recently, the 4th graders have been working on their reading skills by practicing with different classes. Each week they read with 7th graders, 1st graders, and kindergarteners. These reading sessions allow for the students to make connections with other grades while also learning how to be good role models. While the focus has been on reading; occasionally a fun activity is tied in. For instance, students were able to make slime with the 1st graders while reading the book Lets Make Slime.

Reminder: Friday, April 1 is a planned No School day.
See you Monday, Wildcats!

La Farge art students are getting the chance to work with 3 of 5 artists today, spoon carving, watercolor, photography, stained glass, and pysanky (Ukrainian Egg Decorating) learning and gaining a hands on experience. More photos to come.

LFS Families and Community:
Two important announcements for today:
1) Due to the ongoing construction and remodeling, we need to make some changes to our procedures for end of day dismissal.
Starting today, buses will be loading students on Field Street. No car traffic will be able to use Field Street until the buses depart.
Vehicles picking up students should utilize the rounded curb right in front of the main doors. Elementary students will be dismissed at 3:15.
Please use caution with end of day pick ups, as our parking lot is more congested than usual and there is more traffic.
School staff will be outside and helping to direct students and keep traffic moving smoothly.
2) At Monday night's meeting, the School Board approved changes to the COVID-19 Mitigation plan. The most significant changes include the resumption of rapid testing availability for students, and that quarantine periods for in-school exposures will no longer be required.
The full revised plan can be found on our website.
Please call the office with any questions.
Thank you!
